About us

Australian Foundation Drilling & Shoring Pty Ltd (AFDS) specialise in all aspects of modern foundation and shoring engineering for the Australian residential and commercial construction industry. AFDS is able to offer a diverse range of systems capable of solving the most complex foundation and shoring problems.

   

The Company was formed in April 2007 by its two Directors, Kurt Degotardi and Michael Chirva, both of whom have extensive experience in the industry.

In its first full year, AFDS experienced rapid growth and exceeded expectations. AFDS is in a strong position to capture a significant share of the drilling and shoring market along the east coast of Australia and the Directors' commitment to personalised service and excellence means that the company is poised for a successful future.

AFDS has identified an important niche in the NSW area and is targeting large industrial and mining projects that other small operators are unable to get. This is due to the high level of professional, personal service provided by AFDS's directors in addition to the efficiency of versatile equipment capable of a number of different applications.

The Directors

Kurt Degotardi
Kurt has a strong building industry background, having operated his own business in the Building and Construction Industry for the past 15 years coordinating projects worth up to $12 Million. Kurt brings an invaluable body of experience to AFDS based on his knowledge and achievements within the industry.

Michael Chirva
Michael has worked in excavation & earth works his entire working life. Running a very successful family excavation business, his extensive involvement in the industry, brings a depth of experience to AFDS that results in highly efficient operations.
